About the job
The ideal candidate will have strong creative skills and demonstrated ability to develop creative designs and content that will support the brand plans and contribute to the growth of the brand and the overall business. This candidate will have experiences in working with numerous different design platforms such as digital and print forms. The scope of the job covers Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda and is based in Nairobi.
Responsibilities
Developing concepts, graphics, and layouts, including making decisions about fonts, images e.t.c. that is consistent in our details and how we show up.
Keeping the marketing team up to date on creative work, listening to and acting on feedback and explaining the rationale behind graphic design decisions.
Adapt the Franchisor campaign assets to be locally relevant to the market. Make any changes required on any artworks shared to us for campaigns.
Aligning all creative work to the brand book guardrails, guidelines, and requirements.
Liaise with external printers and production suppliers to ensure deadlines are met and materials are printed or presented to the highest quality.
Approval of all print samples before they are printed to ensure that they are as per guidelines and quality.
Develop a website for Kuku Foods East Africa. Will be responsible for always keeping the website up to date and publishing any new news.
Coordinating with the digital agencies and giving approval to all content created ensuring that it is aligned to the overall strategy and is market relevant.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.
3 years experience as a graphics designer
Computer fluency in Mac and PC
Software proficiency – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Quark and others as needed.
Knowledge in design, techniques, tools and principles
Strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
Adaptability and flexibility
A keen eye for aesthetics and detail
Teamwork
Organization, ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines
Ability to think creatively and innovatively
A self-starter with ability to work under minimal supervision
