Responsibilities
Responsible for day to day running of pastry and bakery production.
Ensure profitability by maintaining an accurate record of backing operations.
Manage needed supplies & inventory levels.
Direct & supervise production staffs activities to make sure that the products are up to standards
Decorate baked products using glaze, icing & other toppings to achieve a finished appearance
Assess the quality of raw materials before baking
Conduct research to develop original recipes for products
Ensure proper storage of baking utensils and machines.
Stocking checking & ordering ingredients
Weighing & measuring ingredients.
Decorating pastries & other desserts using a variety of different sauces, toppings & other items.
Contributing ideas to the menu .
Keeping accurate records, operating a variety of kitchen equipment
Maintaining a clean & hygienic work environment.
Ensuring there is enough mis-en-plus for the next shift
Qualifications
Degree in culinary production
