Job Title: Business Development Executive - Hospital


Location: Nairobi, Kenya


Company Overview:

Our client is a reputable hospital located in Nairobi, renowned for providing high-quality healthcare services. 

They are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Executive to join their team. 

This role will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of the business, enhancing the hospital's image, and expanding its market presence.


Responsibilities:

1. Develop a robust strategic plan for sales and marketing activities to increase market access.

2. Create work plans and budgets for the Business Development Department, ensuring the successful execution of approved plans.

3. Oversee performance management within the department, providing guidance and support to team members.

4. Prepare and submit accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for the department.

5. Provide guidance on budgetary allocations aligned with the strategic plan.

6. Cultivate a culture and work environment that fosters continuous improvement and innovation.

7. Ensure all employees, suppliers, and customers understand and uphold the hospital's commitment to excellence in quality and service.

8. Define measurable goals to improve processes, systems, and practices, and allocate necessary resources to achieve these goals.

9. Build and sustain relationships with clients, promoting the hospital and its services while actively pursuing new business opportunities.

10. Monitor marketplace trends and changes, anticipating and responding to challenges.

11. Set annual growth targets and develop sales activity plans accordingly, focusing on profitability and sustainable growth.

12. Maintain the hospital's competitive position while ensuring equitable distribution of resources.

13. Establish strategic partnerships to drive long-term growth.

14. Foster an achievement-oriented culture based on continuous learning principles.

15. Establish quality assurance and customer satisfaction benchmarks, ensuring compliance.

16. Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.


Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Sales and Marketing or a related field.

2. Proven experience in business development, corporate strategy, and marketing insight.

3. Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a similar role.

4. Experience working in the healthcare industry is preferred.

5. Hands-on performer with a proactive mindset, dedicated to preparing the business for growth and profitability.

6. Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate the company's strategic product/market vision.

7. Strong leadership and influencing skills at the business, industry, and customer levels.

8. Excellent decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
